Jupiter
Named after the king of the gods, Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system with an equitorial diameter of 142,800 km (over 11 times Earth's). It's average distance from the Sun is 778 million km or a little over 5 A.U. (an A.U. is an Astronomical Unit which is the distance between Earth and the Sun or roughly 93 million miles). Jupiter has at least 63 moons, four of which can be seen with even the smallest of telescopes.
